Toddlers (12 to 24 months)
Grow: With toddlers, we introduce group concepts and scheduled activities that align with the children’s increasing peer interaction and social connectivity. Singing, reading books, and basic sign language aid children in learning how to express their own needs. They continue to improve fine and gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and increase their attention span.
Learn: Between 12- and 24-months children are introduced to self-help skills such as hand-washing, feeding themselves, and helping to clean up. They begin to interact more with each other and adults, express excitement, show affection, walk, run, scribble, chatter, and drink from a cup.
Thrive: Toddlers begin twice-daily outdoor time to accommodate their rapidly developing mobility. Our playground areas are age-appropriate and provide ample opportunity for exploration while being safely supervised. At this age we also provide weekly sessions with Preschool Music Adventures to encourage children’s growing love of music, various instruments, and culture.
